We are delighted to be able to present The Grand Old Uke of York at our Christmas event.

The Grand Old Uke of York will twist your perception of the tiny ukulele. With big bass riffs, electric melodies and group harmonies throughout; this dynamic and entertaining collective will rock it like you never expected!

 

The vibrant group have had a colourful history since they began 9 years ago; now bringing with them a solid following wherever they go.  

 

They have performed at numerous festivals around the country, such as the The Big Feastival, Countryfile Live, Carfest North and South, Grassington Arts Festival, The Platform Festival, Underneath the Stars Festival, Beverley Festival and of course Poppleton Live Festival!

 

They have played at the world famous Cavern Club for George Harrison’s 75th Birthday celebration, warmed the audience up for The Shires, Jake Shimabukuro, Newton Faulkner, Ralph McTell and Ward Thomas; have been in their own Toyota advert and were also part of the opening ceremony for the Tour de France at Leeds First Direct Arena (only broadcast to 300 million people live on ITV).
