ACOUSTIC MAGAZINE
The Joshua Burnell Band are a superb up and coming York based folk-rock act. The music combines traditional folk music with a smidgen of progressive rock. The influences of Fairport Convention, Steeleye Span and other Seventies' bands are evident.
Fronting a band of excellent York musicians, Joshua Burnell plays keyboards and guitar and sings in a mellow and unaffected style, alongside singer Frances Sladen, guitarist Nathan Greaves, mandolin player Jack Woods, double bass player Matthew Metford and drummer Poppleton's own Ed Simpson.
Well crafted songs, great musicianship and a vibrant, enthusiastic and engaging performance style - we think you will love them
